Ahmad Salloum al-Shati, number 318, was arrested at the al-Zahra checkpoint in Damascus in 2013 and has since disappeared. His photo was later found in the office of Fadi Saqr, commander of the National Defense Forces, in Damascus.
His photo was published among hundreds of photos of victims uncovered by Zaman al-Wasl as part of the "I Am the Detainee" initiative.
His sister, Hala, filed an official complaint against him in Damascus, in cooperation with independent human rights and legal bodies.
The data indicates the emergence of a revolutionary movement within the police and judiciary, which has grown impatient with Saqr's impunity and is working directly to criminalize him, in a rare move that signals a break in the wall of security immunity.
