The Commander of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces Mazloum Abdi stressed on Friday that the new Syria requires a decentralized constitution that guarantees the participation of all its components.
In his statements yesterday, he emphasized the importance of protecting the gains made in northeastern Syria, considering this a fundamental duty for all forces in the region.
Abdi expressed his gratitude to Kurdish leader Masoud Barzani, praising his efforts to achieve Kurdish unity in Syria, in a way that serves the overall national cause.
He explained that the demand to guarantee the rights of the Kurdish people in the new Syria is a fundamental demand of the SDF and Kurdish political forces, emphasizing that the conference on Kurdish unity and position currently underway does not aim to divide the country, but rather falls within the framework of supporting Syria's unity and sovereignty.
