Syria: We reject foreign interference in our affairs, and our sovereignty is not up for discussion

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced its categorical rejection of all forms of foreign interference in the country's internal affairs, stressing that calls made by groups it described as "outlaws" demanding so-called "international protection" are illegitimate and completely unacceptable.

The Ministry added in a statement that these appeals represent a clear attempt to internationalize situations being addressed by Syrian state institutions, noting that these actions pose a direct threat to the country's unity and undermine national efforts to restore security and stability.

The Syrian government reiterated its full commitment to protecting all components of the Syrian people without exception, including members of the Druze community, praising the "responsible" role played by the community's sheikhs in "quelling strife and preserving civil peace."

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that all national issues are addressed solely through national mechanisms, affirming its rejection of any external dictates, and reaffirming that Syria's sovereignty is "not subject to discussion or negotiation."
