Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa said that "the liberation battle has been completed" and that the country has now entered the "reconstruction phase." He noted that the city of Aleppo "represents the key to Syrian victory."
This came in a speech he delivered during his participation in the "Aleppo, the Key to Victory" public event held at the amphitheater of the Citadel of Aleppo, embodying the victory of the Syrian revolution and honoring the fighters who contributed to the liberation of Aleppo.
President al-Sharaa said, "Our war with the tyrants has ended, and our battle against poverty has begun." He added, "Oh, honorable people of Aleppo, oh, great people of Syria, your land has been liberated, your glory has been restored, and your status in the region and the world has been restored. Restrictions have been lifted from you, and obstacles to development have been removed. So, roll up your sleeves, master your work, and excel in your creativity."
President Sharaa noted, "You are the East's opportunity in a time of devastation, and an opportunity for stability in a time of crises and wars." He considered that "the battle for reconstruction has just begun. Let us all join hands and seek God's help to create a bright future for a venerable country and a deserving people."
The Syrian president emphasized, "Let our slogan be as we have raised it before: We will not rest until we rebuild Syria anew and, with God's help and power, show it off to the entire world."
