Security forces seize weapons depot in Homs countryside

The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced on Tuesday that security forces had seized weapons, ammunition, and outlaws in an operation in the Homs countryside.

The ministry said in a statement posted on Telegram: "The Internal Security Directorate in the Talkalakh area, in cooperation with the General Intelligence Service, arrested a number of outlaws and seized a warehouse containing weapons and ammunition."

The statement indicated that this occurred "during a security operation carried out in the village of Umm al-Dawali in the Homs countryside, as part of efforts to enhance security and stability in Homs Governorate."

The ministry explained that "the weapons were confiscated, and the detainees were referred to the competent judiciary to take the necessary legal action."

The Internal Security Directorate and relevant authorities continue to pursue those suspected of involvement in crimes, violations, and general terrorist activities.
