The Ministry of Interior announced a reduction in passport fees for Syrian citizens and those in a similar situation.
The Ministry issued a decision to immediately reduce the fee for issuing or renewing a passport or travel document for Syrian citizens and those in a similar situation who are outside Syria, or who are in the possession of a relative up to the fourth degree, or their legal representative inside the country, from $800 to $400. The fee will be reduced to $200 instead of $300, and will be based on a turn-around system.
The Ministry also reduced the fee for issuing or renewing a passport or travel document for Syrian citizens and those in a similar situation who are inside Syria to 1.6 million Syrian pounds instead of 2 million Syrian pounds.
The above-mentioned fees are not subject to any other additional charges, including local administration fees, according to the decision, which is effective from the date of its issuance.
