31,000 Jordanian trucks entered Syria since Assad’s fall

The Jordanian General Customs Department announced that the number of Jordanian trucks entering Syria from December 16, 2024, to July 2, 2024, reached approximately 31,434.

According to what was reported by the Jordanian Customs Department, the construction sector topped the list of sectors exporting the most to Syria, with approximately 17,535 trucks loaded with various materials needed for construction and building work. The agricultural sector followed, with 2,323 trucks, followed by the industrial sector with 2,289 trucks. The food sector came in fourth place with 1,265 trucks, and other sectors came in fifth place with a total of 8,022 trucks.

Last Thursday, Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq, head of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, revealed that the number of trucks leaving for Syria via the Jaber border crossing since the beginning of this year has reached 83,222, while the number of trucks entering Jordan from the Syrian side during the same period reached 77,632.
