No dignity for security forces without preserving citizens dignity

Activating the role of the military police is an urgent requirement, along with the creation of an independent body to monitor the discipline of security and army personnel and scrutinize the files of new recruits to ensure they have not previously served in the security services of the former regime.

This is not impossible, as the state possesses an extensive database containing the names of former members of all security branches, which can be easily accessed.

It is unacceptable for any citizen to be assaulted or insulted by a security officer, even if they have committed a legal violation. There are clear procedures that must be followed before any arrest, beginning with reporting and ending with a court appearance, not with violence or bullying.

These steps are even more important in light of the professional incitement practiced by millions of fake accounts against state institutions, with the aim of undermining trust and inciting chaos.

With this challenge, the need to employ professional officers in training and discipline tasks emerges to ensure the implementation of the rules of "discipline and order" within the ranks of the security forces.

This is a fruitful beginning, when coupled with strict disciplinary and criminal penalties against anyone who violates citizens' dignity or abuses their authority.

Only justice can protect security, preserve the state's prestige, and establish a healthy relationship between citizens and its institutions.

This is a call we hope will resonate with the Minister of Interior, as time is not on anyone's side.
