New Israeli incursions into buffer zone

Zaman al-Wasl sources reported that Israeli occupation forces carried out incursions into the buffer zone in the southern Quneitra countryside, southern Syria, on Saturday morning, along three main axes.

The sources explained that at least 10 four-wheel-drive vehicles carrying soldiers penetrated from the western Tal al-Ahmar base toward the road between the village of Brega and the town of Kudna, where Israeli forces had set up a temporary military checkpoint in the area.

At the same time, another patrol consisting of 10 vehicles penetrated from the Adnaniyah base toward the town of Ruwayhinah, in parallel with similar movements by Israeli patrols on the road to the village of al-Asha.

The sources confirmed that these movements come amid escalating tensions in the region, amid continued Israeli incursions into the buffer zones under UN supervision in southern Syria.
