Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani received a number of diplomats who had defected from the former regime on Monday and signed a decision reinstating them to work in the diplomatic corps.
This step comes within the framework of an initiative launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs last April, aimed at rehabilitating national diplomatic personnel who had been absent from work and utilizing their expertise in the reconstruction of a new Syria.
