The Ministry of Energy announced on Tuesday a reduction in the prices of basic petroleum products in the country, and that the new prices will come into effect starting Wednesday.
Minister Mohamad Al-Bashir affirmed that the decision comes within the framework of the government's plan to modernize the energy sector and improve its operational and economic efficiency, explaining that "this step aims to support productive and commercial activity and alleviate the burden of living costs on citizens."
In a post on the "X" platform, he indicated that the ministry is working to achieve a sustainable balance in the energy market, considering that "rationalization is a national responsibility, and sustainability is an indispensable choice."
This decision is considered one of the most prominent government measures within the economic reform program aimed at enhancing price stability and improving the level of services in the fuel sector.
