New Israeli Military Incursion into Southern Quneitra Countryside

QUNEITRA, SYRIA – Israeli occupation forces carried out new military incursions into several areas in the southern countryside of Quneitra governorate on Saturday morning.

According to a report from the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), two Israeli tanks and two military vehicles advanced from the eastern Tal Ahmar point towards the western Tal Ahmar area. The forces raised the Israeli flag before withdrawing in the same direction from which they had entered.

Simultaneously, a separate Israeli patrol, consisting of six military vehicles, advanced towards the towns of Bir Ajam and Bariqa, as well as the villages of Zubaydah al-Gharbiyah and al-Sharqiyah in the same region. A third patrol entered the village of Al-Ziwan, taking the road leading to the village of Abu Qabis in the southern countryside before subsequently withdrawing.

This latest incursion follows similar operations just one day prior, which targeted the towns and villages of Al-Samadaniyah Al-Sharqiyah, Umm al-Azam, and Bariqa in the Quneitra countryside.

These repeated incidents represent a continuation of Israeli violations on Syrian territory, constituting a clear breach of the 1974 Israeli-Syrian Disengagement Agreement, as well as international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.
