In a precise security operation, the Anti-Narcotics Branch in Rural Damascus Governorate, in cooperation with the Internal Security Directorate in the Al-Tall area, arrested two drug traffickers.
The operation resulted in the seizure of a massive quantity of 90,000 Captagon pills, which were intended for distribution and sale.
In an official statement published on its social media channels, the Ministry of Interior confirmed that the suspects have been referred to the Anti-Narcotics Branch to complete the necessary legal investigations. All formal legal procedures have been taken against them, and the necessary seizure report is being prepared prior to their referral to the competent judiciary.
The Ministry reiterated the continued and intensified efforts of the Anti-Narcotics Department in cooperation with all Internal Security forces to combat the scourge of drugs. This operation follows the recent seizure and destruction of large quantities of narcotics that were destined for both local distribution and international export.
