Al-Sharaa Asserts Syrians Have a Debt to Hama, Lauds City's Role in Revolution

During his participation in the "Fida' for Hama" campaign events on Saturday evening, Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa emphasized that the wound of Hama was not borne by its residents alone, but by all Syrians - a wound that persisted for over forty years. He stressed that there is a debt owed by Syrians towards Hama that must be repaid with love and fraternity.

President Al-Sharaa pointed out that the liberation of Hama marked a significant turning point in the course of the Syrian revolution, praising the sacrifices and patience of its people. He described Hama as a "school of sacrifice" that looks toward the future without forgetting the past.

The President clarified that the key to success in the battle lay in the unity of all actors in the Syrian revolution, emphasizing that the current challenge of reconstruction requires the concerted efforts of all Syrians in the battle for rebuilding and prosperity.

The President also noted that the countryside of Hama paid a heavy price in support of the revolution, and that everyone who contributes to rebuilding destroyed towns and helping people return to their homes and farms deserves great honor.

Al-Sharaa arrived in Hama to participate in the campaign events, where donations have exceeded 208 million dollars, underscoring the national effort to support the city's reconstruction and the return of its displaced residents.
