Youssef Qablawi, CEO of the Syrian Petroleum Company (SPC), stated in a post on the "X" platform that several international companies are preparing to sign a series of strategic agreements with SPC.
These agreements aim to strengthen the presence of global companies in the Syrian market, paving the way for a new phase of fruitful international cooperation in the oil and gas sector.
On December 2nd, Qablawi met with a delegation from the American company Chevron, in the presence of President Ahmed al-Sharaa. The meeting addressed opportunities for cooperation in offshore exploration projects off the Syrian coast.
On November 18th, SPC signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with the American companies ConocoPhillips and Novaterra, with the goal of supporting the national economy and improving the level of services provided to citizens, according to a report by the Syrian News Agency.
