Two Children Killed, Two Others Seriously Injured by Cluster Munition Remnants

Two children were killed and two others sustained serious injuries on Thursday when a cluster munition remnant of Assad regime exploded in the village of Bayaat al-Danesh in the southern countryside of Aleppo.

The Syrian Civil Defense reported that their emergency teams responded immediately and transported the injured children to Idlib University Hospital for treatment.

The incident underscores the persistent and severe threat posed by war remnants, including landmines and unexploded ordnance, to civilians across Syria. These hazardous remnants continue to endanger lives, particularly those of children, and hinder the safe return of displaced families to their homes and agricultural lands in vast areas of the country.
