UAE announces end of its military presence in Yemen

The United Arab Emirates has announced the end of its military presence in Yemen, the Emirati defense ministry said on Tuesday.

In a statement, the ministry said the decision followed a comprehensive assessment of the requirements of the current phase and was taken in coordination with relevant partners.

It added that the move was made at the UAE’s own discretion.
