The Ministry of Economy and Industry announced on Thursday a package of measures to support the national currency exchange process and ensure market stability during the transition period between the old and new currencies.
The Ministry explained, through its official channels, that the measures include requiring all businesses to clearly and legibly display prices in both currencies, thus ensuring transparency and clarity for consumers.
It stated that it will implement intensive awareness campaigns across various commercial sectors to emphasize the necessity of displaying prices in both the old and new currencies, stressing that the value of goods and services does not change as a result of the currency exchange.
The Ministry added that the measures also include launching media and advertising campaigns through various media outlets and social media platforms, in addition to publishing the official exchange rate in both currencies and coordinating with chambers of industry and commerce to ensure accurate and widespread dissemination of information.
The Ministry of Economy and Industry affirmed that these steps aim to facilitate the transition to the new currency, protect the rights of consumers and merchants, and maintain market stability during the transitional phase.
