Quneitra: Israeli forces penetrate to AIn Ziwan village

Israeli occupation forces again penetrated into several areas of southern Quneitra countryside on Saturday.

A SANA correspondent in Quneitra reported that an occupation force consisting of five military vehicles moved from Tell al-Ahmar al-Gharbi towards the village of Ain al-Ziwan in southern Quneitra countryside and established a checkpoint at the western entrance to the village, on the road connecting Ain al-Ziwan and the village of Koudna.

Earlier that day, occupation forces had also advanced into the villages of Ain al-Qadi and Bariqa in the southern countryside of the province.

Israel continues its aggressive policies and violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement by advancing into southern Syria, attacking civilians through raids, arbitrary arrests, forced displacement, destruction of property, and the bulldozing of agricultural lands.

Syria continues to demand the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory, stressing that all measures taken by Israel in southern Syria are null and void and have no legal effect under international law. It calls on the international community to assume its responsibilities, deter the occupation practices, and compel Israel to withdraw completely from southern Syria and return to the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
