The Syrian Arab Army seized a number of heavy and medium weapons inside the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo, which the SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces) had been using to target other neighborhoods in the city.
The Ministry of Defense's Media and Communications Department told SANA that clearing operations are still ongoing in the neighborhood's streets, but are proceeding slowly and with extreme caution to protect the lives of residents whom the SDF has prevented from leaving the neighborhood, using them as human shields.
The Syrian Arab Army's Operations Command had previously announced the start of the operation to clear the neighborhood of the SDF, after all deadlines given to them had expired. It indicated that the neighborhood would be handed over to security forces and state institutions as soon as the clearing operations were completed, allowing them to begin their work immediately.
