Israeli occupation forces advanced into multiple areas of the southern Quneitra countryside on Wednesday.
According to a SANA correspondent in Quneitra, one Israeli force—comprising two Hilux pickup trucks and a Hummer—entered from the outskirts of the town of Bir Ajam and moved toward the village of Bariqa. The force halted at Bir al-Kabbas for roughly ten minutes before withdrawing.
Simultaneously, a separate Israeli force of six vehicles entered the village of al-Samdaniyah al-Sharqiyah, establishing a checkpoint in the center of the community. Soldiers searched passersby and obstructed movement. A number of Israeli troops also advanced briefly into the neighboring village of al-Samdaniyah al-Gharbiyah before pulling back.
These actions represent a continuation of Israel’s aggression and violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, through its incursions into southern Syria and its attacks on civilians, including raids, arrests, and land confiscation.
Syria reiterates its demand for the complete withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory. It stresses that all measures taken by Israel in southern Syria are null, void, and without legal effect under international law. Syria further calls upon the international community to fulfill its responsibilities, deter ongoing occupation practices, and compel Israel’s full withdrawal from southern Syria.
