Syrian Army continues advance towards Tabqa city

The Syrian Arab Army continues its advance towards the city of Tabqa in the western Raqqa countryside, having seized oil fields and begun its advance towards Tabqa Airport. It also called on the SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces) to withdraw in light of the rapidly evolving situation.

The Ministry of Defense's Media and Communications Department stated that PKK terrorist militias targeted Syrian Arab Army forces in the town of Dibsi Afnan, west of Raqqa, with suicide drones, resulting in the martyrdom of two soldiers.

The Syrian Arab Army's Operations Command told SANA that PKK terrorist militias had mined the Shuaib al-Dhikr Bridge in the western Raqqa countryside to obstruct the implementation of the withdrawal agreement. It emphasized that blowing up this bridge would disrupt the agreement and have very serious consequences.

The Operations Command also confirmed that army forces had managed to seize control of the Safyan oil field, the al-Rasafa junction, and the al-Thawra oil field near the city of Tabqa.

The Operations Command stated that its forces are now advancing towards Tabqa Military Airport from several axes to establish control and expel the PKK terrorist militias and remnants of the former regime.

Meanwhile, the Operations Command published a map of locations 1, 2, 3, and 4 in Raqqa and Tabqa, issuing a warning to residents: "We urge our civilian population to stay away from these locations, which are being used by the PKK terrorist militias and remnants of the former regime, allies of the SDF, as launching points for their terrorist operations against Syrians and their army."

In a warning to SDF members, the Syrian Arab Army Operations Command stated: "To all SDF members: Whoever wants safety should withdraw now. Events are unfolding rapidly, and whoever withdraws now will save themselves a great deal tomorrow." The statement continued: "Do not make yourselves fuel for projects originating from Qandil that do not concern you. The land belongs to its people, and the future belongs to those who choose wisely."

The Syrian Ministry of Defense welcomed the decision of the SDF to withdraw from the contact areas west of the Euphrates River, and confirmed that it will closely monitor the completion of this withdrawal with all equipment and personnel to the east of the river, indicating that the withdrawal comes in parallel with the start of the deployment of units of the Syrian Arab Army forces in those areas to secure them and impose state sovereignty, in preparation for ensuring the safe and rapid return of the people to their homes and villages, and the start of the return of state institutions.
