Defense Ministry moves to discipline personnel in northeastern Syria operations

The Command of Security and Military Police at the Defense Ministry said Thursday that it has begun taking legal action against military personnel who violated conduct regulations during operations in northeastern Syria. It emphasized that breaches affecting military discipline or public order would not be tolerated.

The Command said in a statement that the military police identified several violations during military operations in northeastern Syria, despite clear directives that had been issued to all relevant units. The statement added that the ministry is pursuing legal measures in accordance with applicable regulations to hold offenders accountable, maintain discipline, and prevent similar incidents in the future.

The Command also highlighted that most units have maintained a high level of discipline, with only a few isolated cases requiring corrective action.
