Foreign Minister al-Shaibani: Syrian revolution sacrifices honored by building Syria

Foreign and Expatriates Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani said the greatest tribute to Syrians who sacrificed during the Syrian revolution is to build the country they dreamed of—one that is safe, stable, prosperous and just for all.

In a post on the X platform marking the 15th anniversary of the Syrian revolution, Shaibani said Syrians dedicated their lives to the revolution, endured losses, and remained steadfast until what he described as victory in December 2024.

He paid tribute to those who took part in the revolution, including detainees, the missing, displaced persons, refugees, and all those who raised the calls for freedom and dignity, noting that their voices still resonate across Syria.

Shaibani stressed that the most meaningful way to honor these sacrifices is by consolidating the foundations of a state that serves all Syrians and fulfills their aspirations.

Syria marks today, March 18, the 15th anniversary of the Syrian revolution against the defunct regime, which began with demands for freedom and an end to decades of oppression and culminated in what is referred to as Liberation Day on December 8, 2024.
