The Syrian Embassy in Beirut confirmed on Saturday that it is monitoring the aftermath of the Israeli airstrike that targeted Lebanese territory, killing seven Syrian citizens and wounding eight others in the town of Haniyeh in southern Lebanon.
In a post on its Facebook page, the embassy explained that it is working to facilitate the transfer of the bodies of some of the victims to Syria, in addition to monitoring the condition of the wounded and ensuring their well-being.
Earlier, the Lebanese National News Agency reported that an Israeli airstrike targeted the town of Haniyeh in the Tyre district, resulting in deaths and injuries, mostly among Syrians.
