President Ahmad al-Sharaa met Tuesday in the British capital, London, with the UK Secretary of State for the Home Department, Shabana Mahmood. The meeting, held at the Home Office, was attended by Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani and the Director of the General Intelligence Service, Hussein al-Salama.
During the high-level meeting, both sides underscored the importance of strengthening bilateral security coordination and the exchange of technical expertise. The discussions focused on supporting regional stability and developing collaborative frameworks to face shared security challenges.
Earlier Tuesday, President al-Sharaa arrived in London on an official visit to the United Kingdom, accompanied by a ministerial delegation, following a trip to Germany.
