President Ahmad al-Sharaa met UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer during his official visit to the United Kingdom to discuss boosting bilateral relations and the latest developments.
The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen ties in line with the shared interests of both countries, emphasizing the importance of expanding cooperation in development and investment. They also reviewed regional and international developments.
The meeting was attended by Syria’s foreign affairs and expatriates minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani and Economy Minister Nidal al-Shaar.
Earlier Tuesday, President al-Sharaa arrived in London on an official visit to the United Kingdom, accompanied by a ministerial delegation, following a trip to Germany.
According to the presidential media office, the president will hold talks with senior British officials to advance bilateral relations and expand cooperation between the two countries.
