New Israeli incursion into southern Quneitra countryside

An Israeli occupation force entered the area between the villages of Ruwayhina and Zubayda al-Gharbiya in the southern Quneitra countryside on Monday, setting up a temporary checkpoint on the road connecting the two villages. No arrests were reported.

The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that the force, consisting of three military vehicles, searched passersby at the checkpoint before withdrawing from the area.

This incursion comes a day after a similar incident in the town of Jabatha al-Khashab in the northern Quneitra countryside, amidst repeated Israeli military movements in the region.

The Quneitra countryside has witnessed continuous violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through incursions, raids, attacks on civilians, and land confiscation, exacerbating the tension and instability in southern Syria.
