Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani met on Thursday in Ankara with the U.S. Special Envoy for Syria Thomas Barrack, where they discussed the latest regional and international developments.
During the meeting, both sides affirmed the importance of continuing coordination and consultation between Syria and the United States on issues of mutual concern.
The talks come as part of ongoing diplomatic engagement between the two sides. On February 25, al-Shaibani had previously met Barrack in Damascus, where discussions focused on a range of strategic files aimed at paving the way for a new phase of cooperation between the two countries.
