Mecca’s Prophet’s Biography Museum: Spiritual spaces reviving Islamic heritage

Riyadh, May 13 (SANA) The International Exhibition and Museum of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilization immerses visitors in an intellectual and spiritual journey through the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Spanning over 30 sections and 200 interactive displays in seven languages, the museum blends authentic heritage with advanced digital technologies. Housed in the Clock Towers overlooking Masjid al-Haram, it traces the Prophet’s journey from birth to Islam’s global spread, using illustrative models, digital screens, and documented insights into his character, manners, and the Arabian Peninsula era.

Islamic motifs, soft lighting, visual effects, and interactive maps highlight values of mercy, tolerance, and moderation, alongside Muslims’ historical scientific and cultural contributions.

Overseen by the Muslim World League, this permanent exhibit builds on branches opened in Medina in 2021 and expanded to other Arab and Islamic countries, promoting a contemporary, moderate image of Islam.
