Tartous, June 4 (SANA) Arwad Island Port has witnessed increased activity in recent weeks, with a growing number of ships docking to take advantage of its strategic location and available services for crew changes and temporary maintenance during layovers.
Director of Arwad Port Nazem Taleb, stated in a press release to SANA on Thursday that the port receives between 15 and 20 ships per month, noting that the port administration has taken all necessary measures to ensure smooth docking and departure operations and to provide maritime services efficiently.
Taleb explained that this growing activity reflects the vitality of the port and its role in supporting maritime movement and connecting Arwad island with neighboring areas.
For his part, Captain Said Mohammad Abbas, captain of the vessel Lady Maria, said that the port offers significant facilities and high quality services, noting that seafarers currently prefer Arwad Port due to the maintenance support, crew change services, and good treatment it provides.
