Quneitra, June 6 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces made a series of incursions in southern Quneitra on Saturday, including raids on villages and the detention of a civilian.
According to SANA’s reporter in Quneitra, a unit consisting of four Israeli military vehicles entered Abu Muthara Farm area, west of Saida al-Golan village, shortly after midnight. The force stormed a residential home, detained a civilian, and took him to the occupied territories without providing any explanation for the arrest.
Later in the morning, another Israeli unit made up of four military vehicles entered al-Asha village in the southern countryside of Quneitra. The troops carried out searches of several houses before withdrawing from the area.
Those developments follow a similar incursion earlier in the week, when a five-vehicle Israeli military unit entered Ain al-Qadi farm, conducted house searches, and then withdrew.
Israel has continued military activities in southern Syria, including incursions, raids, arrests, land bulldozing operations and shelling. Those actions constitute violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
Syria has repeatedly called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from its territory, stressing that all Israeli measures in southern Syria are null and void under international law. It has also urged the international community to assume its responsibilities and press for a full withdrawal from the area.
