Private sources told Zaman al-Wasl that decisions have been issued imposing precautionary seizures on movable and immovable assets, freezing bank accounts, and imposing travel bans on a number of Ba'ath Party leaders who previously served as governors, most notably:
- Hussein Ahmad Diab, former governor of Aleppo (this is the second time his assets have been seized).
- Mu'taz Jamran, former governor of Rural Damascus.
- Alaa Ibrahim, former governor of Rural Damascus.
- Tariq Krishati, former governor of Damascus.
- Bishr al-Sabban, former governor of Damascus.
- Khaled Abaza, former governor of Latakia.
