Damascus (SANA) Syria on Friday strongly condemned Iran’s targeting of two tankers belonging to the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) while transiting the Strait of Hormuz, calling the attacks a flagrant violation of international law and freedom of maritime navigation.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates reaffirmed Syria’s solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and its categorical rejection of attacks on commercial vessels and energy facilities.
The ministry said such actions represented a dangerous escalation that could further heighten tensions and instability in the region, calling for respect for international law and freedom of maritime navigation.
