An Israeli occupation force penetrated, today Monday, into the village of Maariya in the Yarmouk Basin area of western Daraa with several military vehicles, according to Syrian news channel Al-Ikhbariya.
This incursion comes a day after an Israeli force consisting of seven vehicles entered the Yarmouk Basin area, reflecting the continued Israeli military movements in the region.
The field escalation coincided with a meeting held in the Jordanian capital Amman, mediated by the US, between a high-level Syrian delegation headed by Foreign Minister and Expatriates Asaad Sheibani and an Israeli delegation, within efforts aimed at de-escalation and supporting stability in Syria.
Southern Syrian areas, especially Daraa and Quneitra countryside, witness repeated Israeli incursions accompanied by temporary checkpoints and searches and raids, while Damascus insists on rejecting these moves and demands the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Syrian lands.
