Daraa, Sept. 17 (SANA) Internal Security Forces on Thursday began raiding a site where an outlawed armed group affiliated with the terrorist organization ISIS was holed up in al-Sanamayn city in Daraa countryside, southern Syria.
The operation began after security forces surrounded the group and gave its members a deadline to surrender, but they failed to comply, the Internal Security Forces said on Telegram.
“The security operation in al-Sanamayn is continuing, and we confirm that the outlawed armed group is affiliated with the terrorist organization ISIS,” the forces said.
Three Internal Security Forces personnel were martyred and others were wounded earlier Thursday during clashes with the terrorist group in al-Sanamayn.
