Syrian security forces arrested Walid al-Falah on Saturday; he is a key leader of a cell—linked by authorities to ISIS—that was involved in the killing of three Internal Security Forces members in the city of Al-Sanamayn, in the Daraa countryside.
The Syrian news agency SANA reported that Internal Security Forces in Daraa Governorate arrested al-Falah, noting that he was a prominent leader of the cell implicated in the deaths of the three security personnel in Al-Sanamayn.
The three officers were killed last Thursday during a security operation to arrest a wanted individual, after an armed group targeted their patrol and clashes ensued.
