New York, Sept. 21 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa arrived in New York on Monday heading an official delegation to participate in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The delegation includes minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani, Emergency and Disaster Management Minister Raed al-Saleh, and a number of other officials.
During his visit, President al-Sharaa is scheduled to deliver the Syrian Arab Republic’s address before the General Assembly, hold talks with a number of world leaders and senior officials, and meet members of the Syrian community in the United States.
Last year, President al-Sharaa participated in the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, where he said Syria had achieved a victory for the world by bringing down a “60-year system of criminality” and had transformed from a country that exported crises into a historic opportunity for stability, peace and prosperity across the region,
