Israeli occupation forces targeted the outskirts of the villages of Abidin, Ma'ariya, and Al-Arida in the Yarmouk Basin area of the western Daraa countryside with artillery shells, the SANA news agency reported on Monday.
According to SANA, approximately seven artillery shells landed near a goat pen, killing about 15 of the animals.
Earlier at dawn, occupation forces had shelled the Abidin and Al-Raqqad valleys and targeted the outskirts of the village of Jamla in the Yarmouk Basin area; they also opened fire from one of their positions toward the outskirts of the town of Abidin, near the 1974 disengagement line.
These events occur amidst ongoing Israeli movements and attacks in southern Syria—including the Yarmouk Basin—even as Syria repeatedly affirms its commitment to the 1974 disengagement agreement.
