New York, Sep. 22 (SANA)President Ahmad al-Sharaa participated in the opening session of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani, Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management Raed al-Saleh, and Syria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ibrahim Olabi.
President al-Sharaa arrived in New York on Monday heading an official delegation to participate in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
During his visit, President al-Sharaa is scheduled to address the General Assembly, hold talks with world leaders and senior officials, and meet members of the Syrian community in the United States.
