Baghdad, Oct. 17 (SANA) Foreign and Expatriates Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani met with Iraqi President Nizar Amidi on Saturday, on the sidelines of the 52nd session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s Council of Foreign Ministers, held in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
The meeting addressed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and expand cooperation across various fields, particularly the economic and security sectors.
The two sides also reviewed regional developments and their implications for Syria and Iraq, stressing the importance of enhanced coordination and consultation to support security and stability in the region.
Minister al-Shaibani arrived earlier Saturday in Baghdad, to take part in the 52nd session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
