List of 5000 Wanted to Assad's Security in Latakia

(Zaman Al Wasl Leaks)- Syrian regime continues arresting and observing Syrians, especially Sunni young men in different areas in the country.

Zaman al-Wasl obtained a list of people wanted by Syrian regime’s security and intelligence forces, in which around 5000 people were from Latakia only.

The list was issued in 2013, and addresses showed that most of them from areas supported the Syrian revolution like al-Solayba, Ramel Janobi, Qninas, Haffa, Salma Jeblah.

The list showed that targeted people were of different professions, as many of them were defected soldiers and sergeants besides many students, drivers and even children under 18.

The list was not limited to Syrian people only, as many Palestinians and even Egyptians were listed.

the most noticeable issue in the list that one each seven men called Mohammed, while Ahmed was the next most frequent name, almost one in ten. However, only 150 out of 5000 named Ali.
