(Zaman Al Wasl) - Many cases of hepatitis spread among Syrian refugees in Ersal , the number is not certain, as many case are still undiagnosed.

Dr. Kasim Zin revealed that 170 case of Hepatitis were officially documented among Syrian refugees in Ersal, the cases are reported from only the medical centre responsible for looking after the Syrian refugees. “The real number of hepatitis cases still far higher than that”

In his video surfaced on the internet, the doctor mentioned that infection of Hepatitis virus increased recently because of lack of clean water and food, beside the open sanitation.

The doctor mentioned that treating patients would be difficult because of siege on Ersal, and the hard living conditions where many kids live in one room or a tent.

“I with my team diagnose about 20 cases a day, I appeal for the humanitarian agency and the Commission of refugees “UNHCR” to provide clean drinking water and safe sanitation” the doctor detailed.

Syrians' suffering in Ersal has increased after the attack by the Lebanese army and Hezbollah militia, which resulted in burning most of their tents and forcing many to flee.
