Islam Army thwarts two attacks by Assad forces east Damascus


(Zaman Al Wasl)- Key rebel group Islam Army said in statement posted online that its fighters have thwarted two attacks by regime forces to overrun suburbs in Eastern Ghouta, killing 30 troops.

Islam Army said the regime army trail to capture Housh al-Fara and Maida’a towns have been failed as the rebels refused to submission, inflicting defeats on Bashar al-Assad’s force and killing 30 soldiers in two days.

Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said 2 people (father and his son) were killed in Jesrin town by Assad’s forces as the shelling broaden to hit many suburbs in the embattled district. 

The capital also witnessed clashes between regime forces and Islamic battalions in al-Tadamoun and Jobar neighborhoods, reports of losses in both sides, according to the Observatory.
