Regime to cut salaries of 6,000 teachers in Afrin north Aleppo

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian regime’s Education Ministry decided to halt the salaries of 6,000 teachers in the Kurdish-dominated city of Afrin northern Aleppo, in step to press more pressure on the people of the disputed area, an opposition figure said.

Mustafa Auso, member of Kurdistan Democratic Party, in a message submitted to the National Coalition, demanded the key opposition group to find an urgent solution to avoid an imminent crisis, saying 6000 teachers have no income to afford living amid fears the education process will be stopped.

Auso said the aim of this arbitrary decision is to make more pressure on the Kurds of city who oppose Syrian regime.
