Nusra Front seizes Sheikh Miskeen city near Daraa

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Islamist rebels have taken control of strategic Sheikh Miskeen city in Daraa province in the Syrian south, activists said on Thursday.

Backed by the hardline Islamic factions, al- Nusra Front overrun Syrian regime’s bastions in the city, inflicting humiliating defeat on Bashar al-Assad’s forces.

In retaliation, Assad’s warplanes have pounded the city by barrel bombs and mortar bombs, activists say.
