Nusra Front celebrates victory against West-backed rebels in Idlib

 (Zaman Al Wasl)- Al-Qaeda Syria’s wing al-Nusra Front on Wednesday celebrated its latest victory in Idlib province against West-backed rebel groups.

Al-Nusra Front posted online photos showing the spoils taken from Hazm Movement and Syria Revolutionaries' Front which led by Jamal Maarouf.

Last week, al-Nusra Front backed by other hardline rebel groups waged a major military campaign Maarou’s Front, after accusing him of being corrupt and working for the West against them, Reuters said.

The Nusra Front captured several villages in the Jabal al-Zawiya region of Idlib province and on Saturday it entered the village of Deir Sonbol, the stronghold of the Revolutionaries' Front, forcing Maarouf to pull out.
