The initiative for cease-fire carried out by Nusra Front and Islamic Front by Salah Eddin al-Shishani who confirmed that he met the Islamic state’s representatives in Raqqa and offered them the truce but they rejected it “they indeed believe that Nusra and other Islamist rebel groups are apostate and infidel, therefore their request cannot be accepted.”
The mediator revealed that Abo Mohammed al-Jolani had requested the cease-fire with the Islamic state, in order to concentrate on fighting the Syrian regime.
Moreover, the mediator revealed that Omar al-Shishani, the Islamic State representative urged him to pledge allegiance to Abo Bakr al-Baghdadi, the Caliph, but Salah Eddin refused because he had already swore allegiance to Abo Muhammad al-Daghestani, the Emir of Caucasus.
