Clashes between Islam Army, Ahrar al-Sham near border crossing with Turkey

 

(Zaman Al Wasl)- The clashes between Islam Army and Ahrar al-Sham movement have been renewed on Sunday near Bab al-Hawa, the strategic border crossing of with Turkey, activists said. 

Islam Army spokesman, captain Islam Alloush, in statement to Zaman al-Wasl, has downplayed of the escalations of the infighting, saying to be solved soon.

Zahran Alloush, Islam Army commander, in tweet on his official Twitter account, said that Islam Army and Ahrar al-Sham will remain brothers, saying to his rivals “you can die of your anger because Islam Army and Ahrar al-Sham will stand against you”.

Field sources said Ahrar al-Sham fighters had stormed the checkpoints of Islam Army on Saturday. The sudden attack pushed Islam army to mobilize fighters to retaliate.


Activists have criticized the constant rifts between rebels over small interests while Bashar al-Assad’s forces are pressing slow advances in rebel-held areas north Syria.
