'To put revolution on the track', Opposition members form new bloc: source

(Zaman Al Wasl-Special) – 14 members of the Syrian National Coalition to announce forming a new political bloc next week, carrying the aim of reviving the national role of the key opposition group what may serve the people and the revolution, source told Zaman al-Wasl.

The ‘National Accord’ bloc seeks to create a balance inside the Coalition far away from political and partisan polarization, with hope it can take monitoring and supervisory role in order to bring back the essential role of NC as a national institution founded to serve Syrians’ revolution,’’ source said.

The bloc, which kept the door open for more members, said it would announce its political agenda next week.

Zaman al-Wals has obtained the names of the 14 members:

1. George Sabra, head of the National Council

2. Dr. Mohammed Al Dandal

3. Dr Abdul Baset Sieda

4. Samir Nashshar

5. Khalid Nasser

6. Salem Al Muslet

7. Abdul Ahad Asatifo

8. Sennacherib Mirza

9. Alia Mansour

10. Mohammed Dugaim
